In Greek, “koukoutsa” means “peekaboo”—a simple, joyful game that celebrates connection, presence, and the delight of being seen. At its heart, Koukoutsa reflects this very essence: ensuring every child is seen, remembered, and safe.

Our journey began with an urgent realization. Busy schedules, fatigue, and human error have led to heartbreaking incidents where children were accidentally left behind in vehicles. These tragedies reminded us how crucial it is to create tools that support parents and educators in safeguarding children’s well-being.

Koukoutsa was born out of this shared responsibility and a desire to make a difference. Our app provides kindergarten and nursery school teachers with a seamless way to mark attendance and send real-time absence alerts via Viber or SMS. By bridging the gap between schools and families, Koukoutsa helps prevent delays in communication and ensures that no child is ever overlooked.
